EPFL Campus Lecture: In Conversation on The Age of Surveillance Capitalism

At this EPFL campus lecture, Harvard Business School professor emerita and bestselling author Shoshana Zuboff will talk about democracy in the age of surveillance capitalism.

We are living in the social and political chaos created by the digital age — what Shoshana Zuboff predicted in her groundbreaking, epoch-defining bestseller, “The Age of Surveillance Capitalism”. Now, as we brace ourselves through pandemic-related waves of economic, social, and political instability, Zuboff presents the solution we must embrace — and soon: “We may have democracy or we may have surveillance society, but we cannot have both”.

This EPFL campus lecture will also include a panel discussion with Zuboff and EPFL professors Carmela Troncoso and Edouard Bugnion, moderated by Hanna Henkel, Science and Technology Editor, Neue Zürcher Zeitung.

Attend via Zoom.
