Elena Spadini studied Romance Philology and Digital Humanities at the University of Rome Sapienza, École nationale des chartes and Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2016 she completed her Ph.D. on the manuscript transmission of the XIII century Lancelot en prose. From 2014 to 2017 she was a Marie Curie fellow (ITN DiXiT) at the Huygens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, where she focused on software for scholarly editing. From 2017 to 2021 she worked on the digital edition of the Swiss contemporary author Gustave Roud at the University of Lausanne. She joined RISE (University of Basel) in February 2022. Elena’s research interests are scholarly editing, manuscript studies, digital philology and literary studies.
