The Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences (D-GESS) at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology ETH Zurich is seeking applications for a professorship in ethics, technology and society.
This position seeks candidates with skills and experience in individual ethics, social theory/social philosophy, sociology, and history of technology in contemporary societies.
The successful candidate is expected to build and sustain an excellent research and teaching programme in an interdisciplinary environment, and should have an internationally recognized outstanding record of publication. In her or his teaching activities, the new professor will contribute to the “Science in Perspective” course and specialized master programmes at D-GESS, attracting a wide range of excellent students from across the university.
