UNIL Job: Tenure-track assistant professor in Medieval English language and literature

The English Department of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor of Medieval English language and literature, with experience in the field of digital humanities.

The starting date for the position is August 1, 2021. The contract is for two years, and renewable for two terms of two years for a maximum of six years. At the end of this procedure, the Faculty may propose the promotion of the candidate to the rank of full professor.

The position requires teaching at the MA and BA level during the pre-tenure period, as well as individual research and development of collective research projects.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in medieval English language and literature, experience in university teaching at all levels, and experience in the field of digital humanities (databases and e-editing, etc.)
