The professorship is part of the Max-Planck-funded cooperation project Digital Visual Studies hosted by the University of Zurich and supported by the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History.

The non-tenure-track position is for a six-year period pending review after the first three years and will be filled at the earliest opportunity. Candidates must hold a PhD degree at the time of application and have an excellent record of academic achievements in a field related to the digital humanities.

Candidates must apply via the online application by July 15th, 2020. For further information please contact Prof. Tristan Weddigen (tristan.weddigen@uzh.ch) or visit the UZH website.

Fellowships

This program is part of a new, five-year digital humanities research project funded by the Max Planck Society (MPG), and supported by the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute for Art History (BHMPI) in collaboration with the Swiss Art Research Infrastructure (SARI) and the UZH Digital Society Initiative (DSI).

The program is designed to tackle the current gap in the use, analysis and interpretation of digital visual resources, and selected fellows will carry out cutting-edge multidisciplinary research at the intersection of art, architectural history, and computer science.

In addition to applying to the DVS Fellowships, candidates must also apply to a UZH doctoral degree program in a discipline related to DVS. To apply, candidates are invited to upload their applications on the recruitment website of the BHMPI. The call for applications will remain open until filled.
