Infoclio.ch colloquium: Cultural mediation and historical sciences

Switzerland’s historical sciences portal infoclio.ch will hold an online conference “Médiation culturelle et sciences historiques” (“Cultural Mediation and Historical Sciences”) in November.

The recent controversies over the representation of history in public space have reminded us of the importance of audiences in the development of our relationship to the past. To promote their participation, cultural mediation practices are essential. The 12th infoclio.ch colloquium questions the relationship between cultural mediation and historical sciences.

The contents of the conference will be available online from November 10th, and a virtual round table will take place on November 13th from 10:00 to 12:00 on Zoom. To receive the link by e-mail, please register by November 10th.

Program

Session 1: Theories and practices of history mediation
Session 2: Gallery of historical mediation projects online
Round table: Trends and challenges of digital cultural mediation
Session 3: Magazines and newspapers for all audiences in history
