Geneva Human Rights Talks: “Human Rights at a Crossroads”

The University of Geneva (UNIGE) Geneva Human Rights Talks will open Human Rights Week with an online event focusing on different aspects of respect for human dignity, including issues surrounding the use and protection of personal data.

Of notable interest to the digital humanities community, Paul-Olivier Dehaye, founder of the PersonalData.IO association, will speak about making data protection rights effective and collectively useful.

French journalist Rokhaya Diallo will also speak about institutional racism, while Jewher Ilham will speak on the subject of human rights violations. Finally, Lakhdar Boumediene will present on the topic of political prisoners.

This event, to be held in French and English, is organized in close collaboration with the associations AESPRI, foraus, Azuni, and Amnesty international UNIGE. You can watch it live on the University of Geneva website.
