The IGNITE program is offering a series of roundtable discussions via Zoom on ‘Design Thinking & Maker Culture: Sticky Learning for the 21st Century’.

The four virtual sessions, which will be held on Wednesday afternoons through April via Zoom, will explore how we can leverage digital technologies to promote ‘sticky learning’ (learning that is retained after it is taught).

View the full program on the IGNITE website.

Topics to be covered include digital innovation in teaching and learning in the humanities, flipped classroom teaching, maker culture as new forms of meaning-making and knowledge creation, how to prepare humanities students for a new labour market, and how can humanities knowledge take on and create solutions for global challenges while facilitating the digital transition of society.

The roundtables are organized by IGNITE, an open-source, online educational initiative on design thinking and making in the arts and sciences delivered via the EU’s Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH).
