The University of Lausanne (UNIL) has launched a search for an Assistant Professor of Video Game Studies in its Department of Language and Information Sciences in the Faculty of Arts.

The position, to begin in August, 2021, comes with a two-year contract renewable twice for two years, for a maximum of six years.

In addition to research, the successful candidate will teach BA or MA-level seminars for six hours per week. He or she “must be able to transmit knowledge and know-how in the fields of platform and software studies, taking into account the specificities and prior knowledge of the audience in the humanities and social sciences.”

Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, such as humanities, social sciences, digital humanities, computational sciences, with several years of post-doctoral experience. He or she should be able to teach in French and have a good knowledge of English.

Other requirements include proven skills in gamification, software development, and data analysis.
