Jessica Pidoux talks Tinder on RTS

dhCenter member Jessica Pidoux, a researcher in EPFL’s PhD program in Digital Humanities, was recently featured on Swiss Public Radio (RTS) as part of a series on the popular dating app, Tinder.

Pidoux studies sociology and digital humanities, particularly in the context of matching algorithms and online dating. On June 3rd, she was featured on RTS’s Vacarme podcast, which ran a series on user experiences of Tinder. Pidoux talked about her research, which as uncovered gender bias in the app’s algorithm. Paul-Olivier Dehaye of personaldata.io also talks about data privacy.
