The deadline for the applications for the SciFilmIt Hackathon Lausanne is January 19, 2020, this Sunday.

The event will take place during February 21-23, 2020 at the University of Lausanne and is accepted for 1ECTS credit by both EPFL and UNIL. At the end of the final day, the films will be celebrated with all the participants as a private showing event. The following week, there will be a public showing of the films at Cinema Cityclub Pully on the 27th of February.

The event is limited to 28 participants (with an even split between scientists and artists) and participants will be chosen on their application. The event is free to attend and all the meals will be provided over the three days.

The SciFilmIt Hackathon brings the latest research to the screen in intense and inspiring three-day filmmaking events.  Teams made up of scientists, artists and storytellers are created. The teams must come up with a scientific topic, story and create a film while bring supported by expert mentors from around the world. This event will provide the participants a very unique experience of collaborating and sharing skills of science, art and communication.
